Negative response from supplier on faulty item

Product arrived on time as communicated and looked good quality. Unfortunately after setting the code (even taking a screenshot on my mobile phone of the code) and securing to my bike the lock would not then unlock. I could feel the mechanism clicking around on 4 of the dials but it seemed like one of the dials was spinning but not turning the mechanism inside preventing me from releasing the lock. After a couple of messages to the supplier he said 'Unfortunately, as the lock has been set to a new code, albeit accidentally, we are unable to accept a return on it. I am very sorry but this is our final decision. We are unable to take any further action'. Disappointed, back to Halfords.
