Ford Escape - Mazda Tribute
I have two Escapes, and one has some running problems. I bought this MAF and installed it into the truck that was running normally as a test. This MAF runs just as well as the original, which means as far as the truck's computer is concerned, there is no difference between this generic and a properly operating factory MAF. Amazing at this price point!!

Easy to build but doesn't work
0 of 1 found this helpful Excellent quality PC and everything is marked perfectly. No parts were missing and every part number matched the board markings so assembly was simple and quick.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work. One of the segments doesn't light at all and the rest are gibberish - all remaining segments reading the same as the rest. It does act differently when a crystal is inserted into the test holder, so the kit is doing something. It might be working but simply not displaying what it's reading.
Too bad, could have been quite useful. Fortunately, it's cheap enough where I can put this in my scrap pile and use it for parts, so it's got some value at least.
Edit: My unit acts exactly like the one in the review titled "Came with defective parts". It appears the PIC IC is not properly programmed. I just doubled checked to make sure every part is in the correct location and checked each for orientation and checked each resistor and diode (all good). I swapped the dead display LED with one of the working ones and the dead display works in the new location and the working display doesn't work in the old location. In addition, the unit is supposed to time out after 15 seconds but after 15 seconds, all segments light! (except the dead location).

It's a Milwaukee..
Nothing to say but Milwaukee. There are several brands of quality tools available in the market and Milwaukee is one of them. Works perfectly.
