Lookalike is no substitute for the real thing
1 of 1 found this helpful This non-standard replacement for the authentic Kawasaki part does not achieve the required performance. It is expected to do two jobs: (1) seal the fuel tank breather cap to the fuel tank body; and (2) allow the controlled ingress of air as the fuel is gradually consumed, while preventing the escape of fuel when the engine is upside-down.
Function (1) is tolerably successful, but function (2) hardly works at all. The soft rubber walls are too stiff, so the valve doesn't seal properly and the operator is doused in petrol when the engine is upside down.
