Couldn't use the handle but if the old one breaks again, I may chance breaking the door clips to get to the bottom screw,
There was really no problem with the new handle. The appliance repair guy couldn't get to the bottom screw on the old handle without breaking the plastic clips on the inside door panel. Doing that would likely have made the microwave possibly dangerous. I ended up using a black adhesive product I used for an old car and that secured the old handle tightly without a screw on the broken upper part. After several days of routine use, it's holding up.
