Holley Sniper EFI

I was excited when Holley announced they were producing an affordable EFI system that was simple to install, straight forward and great looking. After reading about a few people using it I decided to take the plunge as well. I work 6 to 7 days a week so I took my 87 Chevy truck to a good friend on mine. He installed it in one day but it would not run. The fuel pressure was good with the key on and while cranking. It had a hot power source but the voltage whilw cranking was too low. After installing a new battery same problem. After calling Holleys tech line they said to relocate the pink wire ( main power source) to a different location but still nothing. After calling them several times and discussing different things nothing worked. The truck started 3 times and quit within minutes. It ram down the road once and died. Ran way too rich, smoked up the whole garage and would die everytime. Upon further research I learned that countless people have had these same exact issues that Ive had. The software doesnt communicate the way it should. There is an internal problem in the ecm. I am glad to know that I am not the only one to have all of these problems but I am upset that they released a system to sale to the public when there was so many issues present that cant be fixed. I have always loved Holley and Quick Fuel products as I have used them for nearly 20 years. The throttle body looks great. Everything was super nice but it simply does not work. I read countless stories of problem after problem and I was disgusted. A few people have had good luck with this setup and I am glad but it seems like the majority of us has had trouble so back to the Quick Fuel carb I go.
