Looks from day to evening to special occasion. All in one essential!
This has become the staple in my makeup wardrobe. The looks you get from the colors in this palette are so versatile. I find that out of all my palettes, more often than not, this is the one I wind up picking up more than any of my other palettes.
Color: The range of light to dark is perfect and there are no real repeats. Some of the lighter colors need to be worked with or built up. The lilac/taupe color (second row, third from left - don't have the color names. So sorry!) doesn't swatch quite as lilac as it looks in the pan but for me that's good. I can't wear purples and this is actually a great color for me. I've had trouble with the pink shimmer on the bottom row staying in the pan. It slides around, but I just pat it back in and stay careful with it. It's not a big deal to me.
Packaging: It's metal with a magnetic closure that works quite well. I have traveled with this a few times with no problem of it opening or breaking. It's pretty solid. Comfortable to hold and the mirror is large and a great quality.
Formula: It feels to me like each color has a different formula which makes sense. I like the way most colors glide on and has fairly decent staying power. Be aware that it contains talc and mica. It doesn't bother me but I know some people are staying away from these things. The concentrations on eyes is low and I'm not breathing it in my lungs but if it bothers you just know it's there. The mica problem is usually flashback but in a shimmer color on eyes I feel it's doing its job as opposed to being in a setting or finishing powder.
Overall this is a palette I probably will always keep on hand!
