Buy it, but be aware of what you will have to do to use it
1 of 1 found this helpful As is often the case, I asked the seller several detailed questions before I bought this. One of the questions was about the spacing of the holes that mount the brackets to the bike. When I tried to install this, it turns out that the holes were about 1-2mm off (having been raised in a machine shop, I know what I'm talking about).I resolved this by using a Dremel tool with a grinding bit and "stretching" the holes.
The M6 threaded holes in the backrest piece were not of good quality, and I broke off two mounting screws in the process of installing them. I ended up drilling them out and running to my local hardware store for replacement M6 screws, which I installed in the now-unthreaded clearance holes.
When it was all installed, it looked and worked great. It was just a bear to install. I do receive a lot of compliments. So my recommendation is, buy it, but be prepared.

Love this little stove
I am going Motorcycle camping, so I wanted a very compact stove to take with me that wouldn't take up much room in the saddlebags. This stove is a good answer to that need.
The little orange plastic box that it comes with is great too, It is a good protection, although this little stove does not seem particularly vulnerable.
I fired it up to test it, and it lit right up with the little piezo-electric starter. The only thing I am not sure of is if this starter could be damaged by the fact that the tip is over the flame, and heats up red-hot in seconds. I have to assume that is not a problem, though, as I couldn't find any on-line concerns about it. You can always start it with a match or lighter, so I wouldn't let this hold me back from buying it.
The price is excellent on-line, about 1/2 or 1/3 what you'd pay at a sporting goods store, and it is for the same exact stove. I would recommend caution, though, as the little flip-out pot/pan supports are still not that large of a platform. Make sure the pot or pan is level.
