Amazing performance
1 of 1 found this helpful As a carpenter, I invest in good tools. For the price, I wasn't sure if the quality would be up to my standards. I was, however, very interested in the digital technology, and decided it would be worth trying out, especially with the ip65 waterproof rating. Immediately upon opening the package, I was impressed with the craftsmanship. It arrived true, factory calibration was spot on. The backlight and two-sided display make getting readings incredibly easy. My coworker and I were able to set, plumb and seal a new door in under 3 hours; the door shut almost perfectly the first time, with very little shimming involved. The instructions and controls are simple and easy to understand. The included case has nice padding, although I may invest in a hard case at some point. While it seems stout and durable, this is a tool i will want to take good care of. Overall the quality is contractor-level, and I would highly recommend this, or any of Empire's smaller digital levels, to anyone that wants fast, accurate readings!
