Good value for quality and power
For the amp output it is well priced. The design is heavy with plenty of overheat protection. This is a raw power model, no setting or display. It is on or off and it regulates heat automatically. I power some 50 amp plus equipment with it for decent periods of time with no issues. I is priced fairly when looking at comparable models of this quality / construction. I would like to see an amperage meter, but it is not a big enough deal to spend an extra $200ish. Over all if you are looking to bench test high amp draw 12vdc items this is a great option if you don't require built-in meters but do need it to be regulated.

Essential to older light systems.
Used for older generation lights, strobes specifically. While newer lights (LED) don't need it, older ones can't work without it. Uses standard plugs that are still in use for other products. If you are still using a strobe system and need to replace the power supply, this is a fine model. Rating it by comparing it to LEDS is apples to oranges.
