Real value from a bargain priced "starter" bow.
I bought this vintage Browning Nomad Stalker with the intention of giving it to my adult nephew that has expressed an interest in getting into archery. I am hoping to steer him into the tradional archery path and away from the mechanical arrow launchers. There are many qualities that make this a good bow for a novice to start with. First: It has a realatively light draw weight of 45Lbs. this will allow for the development of proper shooting form. If one starts out with a bow that is too heavy, typically poor form and bad habits develop and become ingrained. Also, struggling to pull back a bow that is too heavy robs all the pleasure and fun out of archery. Second: With an AMO length of 52" this bow will be very handy in the brush and from treestands. 52" is just about the perfect length for a real hunting bow. The only thing I was less than pleased with about this bow was multiple screw holes where previous owners had attached sights and some kind of quiver. These were noted in the item description, and were purely cosmetic. I glued wooden plugs in all the holes, sanded them flush and refinished the bow's handle. Now they are barely visible if one looks for them. This bow shoots very smoothly, and is quiet. To be honest, I have considered keeping it for myself, but probably won't since I already have a rack full of nice longbows and recurves.

Waking the Dead. A must read for all believers.
This is an amazing book. It rips away the veil and opens the eyes to the actual spiritual warfare that we are embroiled in on a daily basis. I liked this book so much that I bought this copy as a gift for a friend.

A high quality book, I love it!
Years ago I found an old, worn, tattered paper backed copy of Ross Carter's "Those Devils in Baggy Pants". It turned out to be one of those rare books that one can enjoy reading over and over every few years. Sadly the old Signet paper back printed on acid paper literally disentegrated despite tape and glue. I did not know it had been reprinted until one day I was searching Ebay for something else and it popped up. It had a very reasonable buy now price so I didn't hesitate to replace my worn out copy with a nice like new hardbound copy. It is a fantastic addition to my library. This book tells the story of the 82nd Airborne Division during WWII. It is told as an eye witness account by one who lived it. As one reads the book, one can't help but come to love the characters. Only the hard heartedest of persons will be able to avoid shedding a few tears as he or she reads about what these brave men endured and how almost all of them meet their ends on various European battle fields. This book is well worth the price.
