just what I needed
I've been using this set up for five or six years, and bolts broke, tie-rods bent, cables frayed... replacing those parts made the plow lift much higher, and lock into the up position better. I hadn't realized how sloppy the old assembly had become. The parts came a day or two ahead of schedule. Glad I got it.

balky software
3 of 4 found this helpful I love the features of this GPS, and I use it almost daily, but I'm not impressed with the performance of its software. I've had glitches in which the odometer doesn't record accurately (apparently due to "satellite drift"....), and more than one instance in which it failed to boot up. I finally got it to boot by plugging it into my computer and leaving it for a day to slowly work through its problems. The Garmin help desk is, indeed very helpful. Not all representatives are the sharpest knife in the drawer (there can only be one, by definition!), but they all wound up helping me out, and today, it is working fine. It irks me that a brand new device can have so many problems, though. And it irks me that learning how to load any maps except the ones you buy from Garmin is not straightforward. Irked I may be, but I'm happy to have it.
