3EIGHTY5 Headphones
The 3EIGHTY5 Headphones sound quite good, with a strong presence. The midrange is a small bit dominant, but helps to make the headphones very efficient. They are comfortable to wear for a long duration, and the sound is clear at all frequencies.
One of the weaknesses is the cord. It has a woven cloth jacket, and it is easy to damage cosmetically. This could also lead to lower electrical reliability over a long time.
This may be only my headphones, but one of the drivers has two stable positions. When I put them on, the cone clicks in and out. In the out position, the sound is lower level and not as good. The coil has been pulled away from the magnet. I need to move the headphones so that the cone clicks to the inner position, and then both sides sound the same.
The wood grain makes the headphones attractive, and probably help with the overall tone. I rate these headphones as one of the better pair that I own.

Denon Hi-Fi Check CD of 1992
1 of 3 found this helpful The CD is very useful in setting up a stereo system. The features come in very handy. I would like to have tracks that quickly alternate between a reference frequency (like 1 KHz) and each frequency of an equalizer, to more easily set up a flat frequency response in a room. I realize that this CD is dated 1992, so it does not have surround capabilities, but it would be nice to have this feature in newer CDs (there may be newer CDs out there, I am just not aware of them). However, this CD is very good, and I will put it to good use.
