Forgotten near-classic. Campy fun.
Great, unheralded movie. Basically JAWS with an ALLIGATOR. Robert Forster is great and I love that most of the movie is shot on-location and has that real street look.
My most pleasant surprise, though, was in discovering the transfer was in widescreen. The DVD box says 4:3 ratio, which means the sides of the movie had been lopped off to fit old TV screens. But the movie is in 16:9 widescreen.
Don't assume your copy will come this way, but be on the lookout for a pleasant surprise.
