About

While my hobby is not a train wreak I do enjoy finding and repairing vintage Lionel locomotives and bring them back to life. It all started in 1957 with a Christmas gift of a 6250 Seaboard. I have over 25 locomotives (mostly steem) in my collection.

I am very satisfied with this seller and the item I purchased. It was promptly shipped and very well protected against any abuse it might suffer from the postal service. I also felt it was fairly priced and exactly as described. Looking forward to placing the locomotive and tender on my train board with my grandson at the throttle. Thanks!

Lionel 715-21 Brakewheel & 3656-153 Brakewheel Stud (eight of each)

metal with rivets
Solid pieces produced in metal with rivets to attach. Need a very small drill bit to create a hole if one is not present on the car.
2 Lionel Prewar Freights, Caboose #817 & Box Car #814 w. Rust
Apr 28, 2020
Often rusty but easy to repaint with near period matching paint.
Very often found battered and rusty which is the fun part. Don't have to worry about repaint because the brass placards are removable. Very attractive color schemes on most of the 800 series cars. Some of the colors are available at local stores that sell paint. Original paint is easily removed with alcohol and abrasive pads. Absolutely necessary to use self etching primer if you want a nice finish.
