04 E500 4matic is Quality on the Road

The Mercedes-Benz E500 is a joy to drive. The ride is smooth and quiet, the transmission glides through the gears, the power is always there when you need it, and all the creature comforts exist. It can be finicky when it comes to the electronic COMAND system which controls most of the functions, like Audio and Navigation. From my own experience and from reading lots of discussion boards, this seems to be a source of problems. I own two E500's. One ('03) is working as it should, while the other ('04) is having COMAND issues - is stuck on Audio and won't respond to the menu keys (nor the power button). I love the cars so much, that I'm willing to fix problems as they arise. The smooth, responsive and powerful ride is all worth it (so far).

Mercedes E350 GPS Navigation Unit

Works as Designed, but not the best design

This is a primitive Navigation Unit probably because it's an early model. It makes a good screen saver, and keeps the function working.
