Its your average bluray player
2 of 3 found this helpful Don't expect this to be able to play you 4k blurays. It is just 4k upscaling, for the price and if your not playing 4k blurays it's a good player. It has 3d output for you poor souls who were dooped by a flashy sales gimik and purchased a 3d tv. It plays all popular disc and digital formats, supports DTS 2.0+ Digital. This means if your listening via stereo configuration it will downmix the 5/7 channels into 2. But if your listening via surround sound, it outputs the full 5/7 channels as encoded on the disc. I'm not sure what this does to the encoding/decoding tho. I usually use DTS-HD MA straight so take this with a grain of salt if your an audiophile.
