2013 Dart Manual Shift Linkage Bushing Replacement
1 of 1 found this helpful 2013 Dodge Dart Limited w/6 speed manual. I saw this product while looking for a replacement linkage after ours had fallen off the arm twice while my wife was driving. Dodge has a open recall for all dart models with an auto trans but not the manuals and refused to cover mine because of this fact despite having the exact issue on recall and experiencing their "worst case" scenario if not fixed.
Overall this was not hard to do except reaching around the intake and coolant line. I recommend using a long flat head and a hammer to get the small joint off of the arm towards the firewall end of it and needle nose pliers to get the main bushing off of the trans arm. After it is off scrape the old rubber out and use a heavy hammer and the instructions to get the new bushing in.
First thoughts are very good, the shifter feels tighter than it ever has (bought car with 53K miles) and it for sure is a much better design on the new bushing, I can feel the gates for the gear a lot better as well, and it shortened the movement needed to change gears.
