Lights cannot be securely mounted due to design flaw
1 of 1 found this helpful These lights are unusable due to a significant design flaw. The mounting carriage bolt is expected to hold firmly in place inside a housing made of thin plastic. The plastic housing cannot hold the bolt in place, and the bolt 'turns' inside the housing when you try to tighten it. Since the top of the bolt is inside the housing, there is no alternate way to get a grip on it to 'hold' it in place to tighten it. A carriage bolt has a square part on it for locking in place, and must have a metal square hole to fit into in order to tighten it. I bought these a couple months ago, but just recently attempted to mount them. Additionally, the cooling hole (needed for lights of this type) is located in the wrong place that would allow water to enter the housing when mounted under the bumper. That hole should be on the back or the side. Another design flaw. A waste of $20.
