Hoodman HCFC Custom Finder Kit - Canon DSLR video capture 3.2" LCDs 5D III, 1D C

Almost perfect answer for video shooting
It's a bit bulky, taking up a lot of room in the camera bag. It also takes a bit to make all the adjustments and make them stick. But, once on, it works like a charm. Fact is, using the 6D video outside on a sunny day is virtually impossible. This makes it possible. The diopter is also a great feature.

    Awesome lights!!
Let me start by saying that I started in video with Mole Richardson's, Arri's, HMI's, and using the 400A Betacam camcorder. "Hang the baby, kill the midget, and give the tweenie a cookie" was a running joke. Then, along come the Dadolights. Very compact. Then the Flolights. What? A cool source that doesn't draw much power? Great ights. But, beasts to carry around. Then came Lite Panels. Again, great lights. It wouldn't be long until fresnel led's came along. Anyway, get the picture? 25 years in the business. 5 years ago I got back into photography and pooled all my resources into still shooting. But, I couldn't quite shake video. So, I thought I should have a light ENG kit. Now, I've ordered and own StudioPro products for photography. While their umbrellas aren't on the same level as the Larsen umbrellas I 'still' have, they are much less expensive and have held up well for the past 3 years. When I saw these lights, I looked for as many reviews as I could, and it appeared people were happy with them. I wanted them for interviews, interior real estate photography, and some location portraiture. Having a full frame DSLR, setting the ISO to 800-1200 still gives you a great 8X10, and allows you to shoot at acceptable shutter speeds and apertures. Ok, ok . . . these lights are great. Very well designed. They seem sturdy, they have great light output, the barndoors (not included) clamp on easily, the filters are easy to use, and the dual power option makes them very versatile. So far, I cannot find a single negative about them. Time will tell how they hold up. Both in terms of overall quality, and the LED's. No, they don't 'feel' like Lite Panel quality. But, they're also 1/6 the cost, and the light quality isn't any different. I think with a little care (get the case, it's also great. Holds two.) these lights will last a long time. I intend to purchase a pair of their smaller rectangular spots to fill my kit. But, so far, I'm very impressed with these lights. For the price, you can't beat them.
