Saddle Slot Nightmare
Wow...where to start with this. I see some reviews talking about string spacing but really that's on those who bought it without measuring first. The string spacing was actually one of the only good things about this bridge since it matched what I needed perfectly. The other good thing was the size being a little bit larger than the bridge I was replacing so it helped cover some of the scarring. What is really bad about this bridge is the saddle slot and included plastic saddle. I never use plastic even on a cheap guitar but the included saddle is SO much bigger than any bone blank you'll find. Also, the way the slot was cut on the bridge I received made the saddle lean back at about a 30 degree angle. I went ahead and used this bridge because the shape and string spacing matched the guitar I'm working on and it was faster than making a bridge from scratch. However, if you don't have the tools and experience to plug and re-route the saddle slot, I doubt this bridge will work for you. I'm including a couple of pictures to show the bad angle of the saddle slot on the bridge I received and also to show the bridge on the guitar after I re-routed the saddle slot.
