Sinking Floating Shelves

First Impressions Well Packed Nice Finish . Mounting,Screws and wall plugs ..
Reality Check
Problem 1.. 10 hole bracket .Only 4 wall plugs and Screws supplied.
Problem 2... Checked fit of mounting bracket supports to the shelf. Very loose
Problem 3... Shelf has a 25mm/1 inch rebate
Problem 4.... Mounting bracket support is 80 mm long. Take away depth of rebate meant that shelf is being supported by 55 mm 2 inch on a 235mm/9 inch shelf.
Bought extra screws and wall plugs. Mounted the bracket on a smooth wall. Ensured all was level.
Trial fitted shelf and and was NOT surprised at how badly it sloped down /A 20 degree drop meant the front was an inch lower than the wall ,Nice for your items to slide or roll off.
Fitted the retaining screws on base of shelf...No Change.
As I could not be bothered with the hassle returning them.. I fitted them using the following method
As they were planned for an Alcove I fitted 20 mm beading round the alcove and painted beading to match.
I also cut wood to fill the rebate on the shelf to give the short supports some more strenght,
Not the result or effect I was hoping for
All 3 shelves had the same issues
In all, it took me @4/5 hours just to correct and mount the shelves
