POE standards
0 of 1 found this helpful These devices seem to work for the lower “af” standard but I found that they did not power the devices sufficiently to the higher “at” standard so my Aruba APs operated at a lower performance. Comparatively, those same AP devices, connected to an HP 2910 POE switch operated at full performance. I’m not a POE expert but both devices failed to power my APs to the level as expected.

Great value for the money
I bought the router for loading OpenWRT but I did check out the standard firmware and liked what it had to offer. If I didn't have special needs I would've stayed on the ASUS firmware. That being said, the physical build quality seems good. I'm not qualified to look at the board and soldering but I'm not suffering from anything noticeable that could trace back to poor manufacturing.
The chipset to manage USB disks and printers is a bonus.

2910al buy
If you know what you’re doing with ProCurve switch line and have the right cables, this is a good unit on a low budget. The 2910 and 2920 series are robust & reliable and offer a good feature set.
