a charming tale of a Great Dane growing up in a family of Dashchunds who believes that he, too, is one of them...a DASHCHUND!
I sent for the book because a friend just adopted a Great Dane puppy and I have fond memories of reading "The Ugly Dashchund" as a child. However, Although it IS the same story is is NOT what I remember. The book I read or, was read to me was a children's book. This book is not a children's book. I believe was must have been about 5 years old when the book was read to me.
That would have been in the 40s. I am 86! The Disney children's book came out in the 60s.
SO - I'm rather confused. However, I'm reading the book and finding it quite charming. I'm sure my friend. who has the puppy Great Dane - a lovely BLACK 6 mos old, we enjoy it.
