You get what you pay for!
A hood that doesn't stay open on its own is an accident waiting to happen! In a world as defective as this one, where even new things that you buy online end up not working, I'm here to state that I got what I paid for! They do the job without having to jam something in between to keep it opened! They were so easy to install and most important, they do the job of keeping the hood opened!

Love it!
I'm an Electrician that works in the south Florida heat and sun, this compact, reliable, efficient, ice maker has been a God sent to me that enables me to use distilled water that I buy gallons of to make the ice that I use daily in my cooler to keep my lemonade cold! There's no way that I would use tap water for anything, even if it's filtered! I have more ice that I need daily by simply pouring the water inside the unit, couldn't be any easier!
