The best surround sound disc I have heard
I saw only glowing reviews for this disc, some even said that this was there go-to disc to show off their surround sound systems. I totally agree. It is nothing short of amazing at how each instrument has its only place in the soundfield. Harmonizing vocals as well come from the rear speakers, etc. But, what I was most surprised about was the warmth and clarity of Elton's voice. It is obviously not re-recorded, but it sounds to me like they took all the effects (reverb?) off his voice or something. Everyone I have played it for has been equally amazed.

Nice Sound, Not much added from SACD remix
While the sound is crisp and warm, I did not see much in the multi-channel re-mix. There are some occasional instruments heard in the rear speakers. But, not that much to justify the purchase of this disc over the regular one. It does not compare to the multichannel re-mixnig of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. That remains the album I play for people to show off the multi-channel re-mix capabilities of SACD.
