Perfect for heatshrink on wires
Switch on and it's blowing hot in a few seconds. The hot air is focused so you don't melt other items nearby.
It's a good size, easy to use, unlike a full size hot air gun which is too big and too powerful.
The heat is far greater than a hairdryer.

Good value, nice and light
Pretty happy with mine. The metal triangle that the shoulder straps attach to stretched after a few uses so I used a bit of cord to secure them instead.
Starts easily.
When you're wearing it you hardly notice the weight - much better than a hand-held blower.
It's 1000W so it blows fairly well but I have an electric blower that's 2200W and the electric one is noticeably more powerful.
Does use a bit of petrol or perhaps it's just that it has a 0.5 litre fuel tank.
It's not as loud as you might think. It does sound like a chainsaw but you don't need to wear ear protectors, I have ear protectors but don't bother with them.
If I need to clear some leaves I'll grab this rather than the electric one, and knowing what I know now I'd probably buy this one again.
