Good freehub
I am a big fan of SORA components: they are affordable, of good quality, and don’t make me feel like a bike snob when I use them. I hear that they are not as high quality as some of Shimano’s other groupsets but I don’t care because I like them. This rear hub is very nice: I built a wheel using it, DT Swiss competition spokes, and the Mavic Open Pro C rim and I am very pleased with how it came out. I don’t know much about servicing hubs but I’m sure when the time comes, if it ever does, this one won’t be too challenging. Unsure how I feel about Shimano moving their production of some components to Malaysia but the quality hasn’t fallen off with the relocation of production as far as I can tell and that’s all that matters to me.

Admirable performance from mid level group set derailleur
I used this derailleur to replace an older model Tiagra derailleur I had on a Cannondale R400. It’s performance is pretty similar but since it’s new, it’s a little smoother. It is very similar to the tiagra RD4400 derailleur of some years back.

Great Shimano component
I like this much better than my previous shimano flight deck shifters. Hidden cable routing, smooth shifting, and trigger finger downshift. Sleek looking too.
