Great product, iffy documentation
This is such a great product, 5 stars. I give it 4 for the poor documentation. You should plan to spend some time on YouTube to get this going. For example, the documentation indicates you can power the tracks by plugging a Z1000 into the barrel-style power input. This is not true. You need to power the TIU at the Fixed1 input, preferably at 18V. If you have a Z1000 like me, that means a special adapter MTH 50-1017. I can tell you the TIU and engines run fine on 14V accessory power until you get the 50-1017 while you wait for your adapter ;-)
All of this stuff is quickly becoming scarce so if you're looking to buy one of these, probably a used unit by the time you read this review, I recommend you research and purchase everything you need to get your TIU operational before buying a bunch of accessories like an AIU.

100% hatch rate among viable eggs
1 of 1 found this helpful Just as reviews I read prior to buying indicated, we had a 100% hatch rate. It's amazing. We set it up, put the water line in a 1 qt mason jar, and didn't do anything but look for a couple of weeks. We took out the non-viables (it was a bad batch, probably shipping damage) and the rest, another breed that didn't suffer the same damage, had a 100% hatch rate. Since the other breed had 0% hatch rate I think it was other factors such as shipping damage or infertile eggs.
I haven't checked the accuracy of the temp/humidity, but as far as control goes, it didn't go more than .1F or 1% from the setpoints the entire time. The humidity pump provides a fast response without overshooting.
The incubator was a simple wipe-down after the hatch, though the fan does blow chick fur up into unreachable areas if they are left to fluff out in the incubator. I don't think this is a big deal.

Great continuous play
We love that we can unload and load our logs without touching them. It's continuous play, even if the scenario isn't necessarily realistic.
