So many advances
I had recently purchased a 50D and thought I was updated for awhile. However the 7D cane along and I could not resist. The features are amazing but also a little overwhelming for a person of my limited expertise. However if anyone purchases one of these I would suggest the 3 free downloadable videos on B&H's website. They are conducted by a Canon rep and save a lot of time.

Your new every day lens
The 24-105 f4 is a great all purpose lens. It is an everyday lens which ways around half of the 28-70 f2. For outside shots or shots with great inside lighting it cannot be beat. It is the only way to go with the R line of Canon EOS cameras.

Better than a Sub
Much rarer than a Submariner. More convenient and has an internal rotating bezel with chono feature.
