    Love My Lotus... (but...)
I really like the Sprint Lotus phone. The ease of the large, full keyboard for texting is fantastic. This was my first "texting" phone with a full keyboard and I found the difference between a standard phone keyboard and this to be amazing. I won't go back to a standard phone keyboard. The only problem I have ever had with my phone is that the flip "wore out" on me. I called Sprint and they said I had to send it in to LG for repair which meant switching my service back to my old phone temporarily. Not so, I brought it to my local Sprint owned Sprint store (yeah - not all owned by Sprint!!) and they replaced the flip for me at no charge in about 15 min. No need to change anything else out so all my programs, pictures, music, preferences, and contacts were still there. Has video, camera, web, GPS, MP3 / music, games, calendaring, and all the usuals. It is a bit wide so it won't fit in all types of cell phone pockets and such but it is nice and slim so you can slide it into your jean or shirt pocket with no problem. I'd buy this one again in a heartbeat. Plus, just after I received this, I noticed that the Lotus was on about 4 or 5 different TV programs I watch - some of the higher tech ones as well so I found that impressive too. ~smile~

    Great little digital for everything.
This handy little digital camera is great. My favorite thing is the anti-blur button which is great for close-up pictures, when a lot of light is required, and when Grandma uses the camera. ~smile~ It is basically an anti-shaking feature. I use it all the time now when taking close-up shots (3" to 1' in distance). I used to have to use a camera stand with my old digital in order to get enough light in and hold the camera steady. Now I don't have to mess with a stand for close-ups anymore. It takes WONDERFUL close-ups of flower blooms. There are so many features that I haven't even used 1/2 of them yet. Another plus for me is the double picture taking which will take a picture with natural light and one with the flash - both at the same time. Then you don't have to worry about whether the flash would be good or not because you now have the same picture both ways. It also has a black and white photo feature which is very nice. Easy to use, small compact size but not too small you can't get a good grip. And, the Fujifilm warranty is AWESOME if you happen to buy one refurbished (or new with problems). I bought refurbished and it was DOA (dead on arrival). I shipped it to Fuji and had it back within 2 weeks. And, they had even sent an email saying it would be delayed due to the holiday rush. Well, if 2 weeks is delayed, I wonder how fast they usually get it back to you?!?!

Astar DVD Recorder - Not bad for a first purchase
We've had our Astar DVD recorded for over a year now. It has suited us just fine for all our home recording needs. You know, that FAVORITE thing you just have to save! Well, we've recorded hundreds of hours and lots and lots of short "crafting" segments from various shows. All in all, it is a good little machine. You can create easy menus with pictures to help locate what you want to watch on the DVD. We mainly record from our DVR (satellite) thru the TV. The only downfall I have really found is that it freezes up every so often. It has never done this while viewing or recording anything. Only when it has been sitting, unused but plugged in and in the stand-by mode. But we simply unplug it for a couple seconds and it is fine again. But for a first time machine, it was a good and inexpensive choice. Oh, and their customer service is really good too. I had to call once because I couldn't figure something out and they were prompt and helpful.
