Its original.. but problem with the gripstic

I just recently 3 to 4 weeks ago got this for my son its is exactly what he wanted the problem is that he's having trouble with the gripstic he tends to just lightly tap on the stick to the left and the character in the game stays doing circles again this is just a little tap to the left and it just stays stuck not sure if its a manufacturer problem or what

The only problem I have is that the steam doesn't say no longer than 10 seconds on every use i give it but it works good
