  I bid in an auction, as far as I am concerned I have entered a contract to buy and the seller has entered a contact to sell. Neither party should be allowed to pull out at the end of an auction without very good reason. If there is a problem then contact between the two parties should take place. Unreliable ebayer

  As I explained to the buyer I had inadvertently put the wrong postage on the item. This is because using eBay's automated postage system the default setting is to use Evri. Evri don't accept parcels at 150 cm long. Ebay doesn't permit contact between buyer and seller outside of the transaction. they only show the buyer name and not any form of communication link. Consequently I was obliged to cancel the transaction in order to repost the item for sale at the correct postage via ParcelForce.
