The One to get
I like it: Appealing, sturdy appearance, compact; allows variable charging rates from 5 to 12 amps. I use it instead of our tesla home "destination" charger [I prefer slow charging, but ... longer slow may not actually net longer EV battery life than shorter intense charging? graphed cross-over points, anyone?] so both our EVs can charge simultaneously. One time, the Tesla app, I think, lowered charging amps after it said "it" overheated (portable charger box was warm, not hot), in the shade, in the middle of a hot day, when I was charging at 12amp for a very long time. I now always charge ... "slowly"... at 8 amps with no detectable [test cases] issues. This adapter cord may be shorter than the original that I lost [somehow]. But being so may actually make it safer than the original. This OEM? gen 2 model was "difficult" for me to find. I'm glad I did.
