Would have been nice if it had been sharp

I was excited to add another ESEE to my new Jeep survival kit but when I opened the box to take a gander at the blade I saw that the grind was in even and at near a 40 degree angle in some spots. I was able to get the blade edge consistent and at a 25 degree angle for utility and emergency cutting. The epoxy was much thicker than that if any ESEE I had purchased before. I cannot say this is a new standard from ESEE but probably a one off issue.
