Good Content - Bad Presentation
The actual content was good but the presentation of the book and readability was horrible.
It appears that the book was not issued through a publisher but printed through a discount printer.
The font used in the table of contents had to be 6 point. The actual book was probably 8 pt but double spaced. Very hard to read. The page length was 9" but both the top and bottom margins were 1 1/2" each. The side margins about 1". Therefore, one is left with about 45% of the page with actual printing that is double spaced.
The maps are scaled down so much that a magnifying glass is needed to read most of the writing.
It is a shame because the content was of good quality. I would only recommend the book if you are really interested in the details of the 7th Division's movement out of the Cumberland Gap and are willing to struggle through the small fonts and small maps.
