Good album by the Manband
I have been following Man for over a half-century. I am a huge collector, and of them I have at all. "Anachonism Tango" is a meritorious addition to the list of Man albums. Only Martin Ace is left of the classic members, though son Josh Ace is making himself a major component of the band.
Martin and Josh write the tunes, and all are good, interesting, and characteristic. I recommend this album to any Man fan. For all the rest of you, it is a good buy as well.

Nice package, but old news
Pretty cool package from Ahmet. But of the seven CDs, I already own about three of them. It is nice to have everything in one box, but for much of this, we been there, seen it, and bought the t-shirt.
Deducted the fifth star, because it had already been grabbed by "Roxy & Elsewhere", "Roxy by Proxy", and the Roxy movie.

Good enough interview anthology
A pleasant enough time spent with Zappa, generally sitting around in sitting rooms. I had seen much, but not all of the interview footage. Much of it is '80 vintage Zappa, and most of it is him being urged to spew forth on sociopolitical topics. Not so much on his compositional ambitions or musical techniques, though we do get a brief over-the-shoulder glimpse of him operating his Synclavier.
There are video band clips as well, and here is where I feel compelled to drop a star: a number of clips of the first two lineups of the Mothers, that is one-or-two minute fragments. Wanna see the tunes entirely! There are later vintage clips as well, such as footage from "Baby Snakes". Been there, done that is my reaction. But the earlier stuff earns a fifth star when I can see it completely.
