Not an EXACT replacement
Bought for direct replacement in 1994 GEO Prizm - This lock cylinder LOOKS very similar to the original, but it seems to be a little 'off' in size. Simple removal of the old cylinder (turn key, depress pin, and slides right out) but the new cylinder got very tight and actually 'stuck' about 2/3 of the way going into the column chamber. Was able to 'pry' the new unit back out (old cylinder still slides in/out smoothly) but broke the plastic trim collar off in the process (built with plastic 'melt pins' - could probably be re-melted to re-secure). Original car key will NOT even slide into new lock (different keyway is too thin) so it cannot even be re-keyed to match - means you will have to carry two keys for the car: one for door/trunk and one for ignition. May be fine for other models. This simple 30 minute process turned into a half-day project and still had to re-use the original lock cylinder (with the key buzzer switch activator removed).

Works for What I Needed...
I appreciate that the damaged cord was chopped for safety - it was easy to replace. Drill may still need new brushes, but works for what I needed!
