Nikon D5000 with AF-S Nikkor DX 18-105mm 1:3.5-5.6G ED
Truly enjoying this camera set up! One of the main reasons for purchasing this particular Nikon model is that I am 5' 4" and the LCD screen on the back of this wonderful camera swings out and swivels around so that I may hold the camera over my head in a crowd, align and compose the shot, then let the Vibration Reduction lens do it's thing!
Also, having the ability to alter the white balance is great for warmth and coolness in setting the perceived 'mood' of the picture.
The grip size turns out to be suited for a smaller hand like mine (I've pretty much got 50/50 palm to finger length ratio working stiff's hands).
Battery charge is lasting a long time; I've purchased a second battery to bring on holidays in my camera bag.
A big influence for me on which DSLR camera I would buy, was going over every article on kenrockwell(dot)com and comparing each camera on my short list: D5000, D90, D40, and D300. Also on the list was the Canon EOS 5D Mark II.
Thank You Ken Rockwell.

All good
Purchased OEM BMW K1300Gt seafront t heater cable from c3-cycle-tech in Winchester, Virginia. Was inspected as a used part for damage and integrity and so arrived intact in a well packed box.
I am a repeat customer (from Ontario, Canada) because common sense is common place at c3-cycle-tech.
