doable for basic sampling at low price
UREC7 does record analog to digital via 1/8" miniplug input at 128kbs. Its very basic & the recording sounds somewhat flat during playback depending on the source level (which cannot be compensated for on this unit). In addition, after approx. (7)- 5 minute each recordings additional recordings to same thumdrive experienced qlitch freeze processer issues. In other words, the unit locked up for a second before resuming recording which you could see on the display and hear on playback. So it seems on my unit I may be limited to 5 or so song recordings before problems occur. Other than this its a good unit for basic sampling, but not professional quality recordings.
