GREAT STORY!
Great story with lots of intriguing action. I love her historical books when they are not all or mostly romance. The stories I like need some bad guys out to get them to keep them from getting boring.

Too much romance
After reading Dangerous in Diamonds by this author, I was looking forward to the next story and mistakenly had expected it to be a great book like Dangerous in Diamonds. Boy was I disappointed!! I like a lot of action in a book and Dangerous in Diamonds had plenty, reminding me of the Hannah Howell books. It was a great, hard to put down book. Provocative in Pearls was ALL romance, no intrigue, no suspense, no bad guys for the hero to take care of, etc. Nothing like the other book. I wish there is a way to tell before purchasing a book if it is all romance or has some action to it. Sigh!

Hard to put this book down, it is so full of action like all of Elizabeth Chadwick's books. She keeps you reading from beginning to end. Great book!
