Great Ice for Outdoor Kitchen
This is a good ice maker for the money. I've now had the machine producing ice for about a month and a half. It is very fast and efficient. It produces sheets of little square cubes, so if that's ok, then this is your machine. I suggest getting a metal ice scooper to break up the ice right before scooping it. One thing you will definitely need to do is plan the placement of the machine so the gravity drain can empty into a drain. I am using this in an outdoor kitchen, so I have the ice make at ground level to the right of my sink. I have the gravity drain attached to a VCMA-20 "Little Giant" condensation pump, which is attached to a DIsh washer inlet in the sink drain. Basically I have the drain setup like a dishwasher. Sounds difficult, but was actually extremely easy to setup. I recommend this unit for outdoor kitchens, but I would think twice about putting it in direct sunlight. Enjoy your ice maker, this is a good buy.
