CX series a loser!
4 of 4 found this helpful Sorry folks, the Epson CX series printers are losers! I had my CX for 6 months. Unless you use this printer daily, the heads get clogged. Once clogged, it's a throw away printer! You can't replace or even manually clean the heads without major printer disassembly! The head cleaning assembly becomes saturated and unuseable. After 6 months my printer was useless. Too clogged to print. No way to clean it. Can't buy replacment parts. What a waste! All the CX series are built the same way!

Keep a stock of these!
These are hard to find without paying a fortune for a name brand. I have had 3 failures in the last year for these. I learned to keep a couple extra on hand. It seems the input control circuit goes bad on these frequently. I have to replace these every year. They are cheap but the quality is questionable.
