The pain is past
I have been struggling to make do with a mini DSO which is about the size of my phone, so anything would have been an improvement, but this is really a nice scope. I'm still trying to adjust to the idea of paying hundreds of dollars to unlock functions which are already present, but I probably will never need the advanced features.
I'm happy with the purchase.

Good price on a good dimmer
Used this to replace the thermostat on a Presto/Costco 1000w heat dish. Working well for six weeks now.
