Really happy with this mic... would recommend it to anyone

I was looking for a quality condenser mic that would add a bit more polish to my home studio but still be within my budget. I read a number of reviews on this one and also got a good recommendation for this mic from a local professional studio owner. The build quality is excellent... solid and rugged feeling. And the sound? Warm and detailed at the same time... has room to breathe and doesn't sound "brittle" like some of the lower end $80-100 knock-offs. The only thing I don't like about it, and it's not a big deal, is that it is hard to install in the shock mount that comes with it. Fortunately it comes with a nice velvet bag to cover it, so once you get it into the shock mount you can just leave it in the mic stand... no need to take it off and put it in a box every time. I have one other condenser vocal mic... one of the "knock-offs" and this one beats it hands down for a smooth, professional sound. I've used it with both male and female vocals, mostly bluegrass and country, and have been really happy with it so far. Would recommend this mic to anyone looking for a reasonable priced, quality studio vocal mic.
