Whistle down the Wind
If you love Joan Baez's work, this is the CD for you. Beautiful and meaningful songs. Although Joan is now over 75, she is still at the top of her career. I hope for many more years.

Best DVD of the decade.
Best DVD I have watched for ages. Great entertainment. All dames excel at their conversations with each other and perfectly relate to their viewers as they have done for many years. I'll watch this DVD over and over again. Marvellous stuff.

Wartime Farm - Living History
I discovered the TV show 'Wartime Farm' one evening when I was too tired to turn off the TV. Little did I know this program was an out-and-out treasure. I ordered the book of the same name a bit later and enjoyed it as much as the TV show. It's full of facts and ideas I vaguely remember as a child. It brought memories I thought I had forgotten but came back to me thinking of photographs and stories of family members. The show and the book give interesting details of the 1940s and the consequences of the changing social times of the 1930s. I was fascinated by the role the WI played, the evacuees, the labour saving devices, the spirit of cooperation, the government's instructions. All elements and many more that are still with us today. I am glad I had the good fortune to learn about the things in the show and the book. Thanks..
