Silky
I’ve been using my silky saws for mtb trail clearing. Use them for pruning along the trail side etc. Where they stand out is blade length, sharpness and edge retention. Every now and then Mother Nature drops a large tree across the trail. Although most of my riding partners carry their own saws, they always rely on me to cut through the larger trees. The Silky’s a full size saw but fold up like a jack knife and fit inside of my backpack.
Now for the bad. Blade strength is an issue. Ive broken 3 blades so far. The first on was broken by a friend who was so impressed with the way it cut, he wanted to try it out. He got about 4-5 strokes in when the blade folded over and snapped at the base. I’m razzed him about being a ham fisted bafoon and finished the cut with my backup Silky. Yes I sometimes carry two. The next two were broken by yours truly under the exact same circumstances. I can’t say for certain they didn’t break as a direct result of me being a ham fisted bafoon as well. However in my defense the saw cuts so fast I think I just get carried away.
Due to the fact there could be operator error involved, I only reduced the rating by one star. So, if you feel you may be more graceful then my friends or I, this is one hell of a saw.
Hope this helps

Great Tool
1 of 1 found this helpful Was never a big fan of anything but a mouse. Iv'e had several laptops that used a touch pad. Was always a bridge till I hooked up a mouse. The apple Track pad on my MacBook changed the game for me. Ive since shelved my Magic Mouse and picked up this Track Pad. Im far quicker and more productive with it. It takes up less real estate than a mouse pad, and looks good doing it.
I highly recommend the Apple Track Pad.
Thanks

KMC for the win
1 of 1 found this helpful Have been running Sram 8/9/10 speed chains on all my bikes. Usually on the upper end of the Sram lineup. For example the 970 9 spd, 1070 10 spd etc. In my experience they run relatively quiet and shift well. Where they fall short is in durability.
Enter the KMC .93 series. They run quieter then the Sram and shift as well. Some say better by I’ll stick with as well. Where they really start to shine is durability. They’re proving to be far longer lasting then their Sram equivalents. I haven’t logged any real-time data so I can’t throw a percentage out but in my opinion it’s significant. Couple this with the fact the KMC is substantially cheaper, the winner is obvious.
Hope thiis helps
