The instructions are a copy of, I guess, the orginal instructions. There are no number by number steps to go by, so you just have to look at the pictures. The body comes in three separate pieces: the top, and the two sides - left and right. Alignment is tricky. I had to drill a hole through the engine block in order to get the front axle to fit properly. The rear axle needed a bit of a massage as well in order to get it to fit properly. For the price I paid I'm not sure I would buy it again. But, it was for a WWII diorama I made.
Eduard 1/72 Painting Mask B-17F/G Flying Fortress (Academy) CX014
Nov 23, 2024
Only partly usable.
This product is suggested for a 1/72 scale B-17F as made by Academy. I bought it specifically for that model. However, I found that none of the masks fit the top turret nor the bottom turret; nor the rear turret windows. Therefore, I had to improvise a fix for these three items. The masks only fit the canopy windows and the front bombadier's nose window. I do not recommend this product for an Academy kit.
