Battery adapter for Black & Decker 18v Nicd tools to lithium B&D 20v

Black & Decker Battery Adapter

This adapter kit works well. It does take a little skill (wiring, mechanical ability) to complete the assembly, but the final product works very well. The double latch system work very well. The battery stays in place on the adapter, and the assembly stays in place on the tool. The entire assembly fits tightly on the tool. Extends the performance and useful life of the 18V tools by bringing the superior technology of lithium batteries over the obsolete NiCad technology to the tools. I would love for this supplier to offer the B & D 18V NiCad to DeWALT 20V Max battery adapter again.

Bring Older Tools Back to Life

This item appears to be of high quality. The materials have a quality finish on them. Batteries slide in and out smoothly and with ease. It also slides into a tool with ease. When operating a power tool with the battery plugged into this adaptor, no loss of power is detected. Well worth the price to bring older Black and Decker NiCad battery tools back to life with the increased performance of Lithium ion batteries. I have an 18V B & D circular saw that was of little use with NiCad batteries. With Lithium ion batteries the circular saw performs surprisingly well. The same holds true for my older B & D garden tools. Recommend this adaptor.

Mediocre Quality

The drippers work fine, but there is a moderate rate of units right out of the package. I used about two hundred of these and found about two percent of them to be faulty. They either had wide open flow or none at all. I checked each unit before installation so there wasn't a problem with contamination. There is also some excess variation in flow rate in another few percent. Recommend to buy extras to not come up short on your installation after tossing the faulty items.
