Keep me out of your war with Google
6 of 8 found this helpful I bought this product as an all-in-one media streaming device. Seems to work decently with my DirecTV now, Hulu and Netflix but you are unable to download Google Play or YouTube app. You can however go directly to their website through their browser. But if you do go to those websites through your browser and you have movies that you purchased from Google Play you will just get an error message can't play this type of file. So basically you have to get all your movies and purchase them through Amazon if you want to be able to watch them. If I would have known this I would not have thrown away $110. Also there ad show someone saying, hey Alexa play such and such a song and that song comes on but when I did this it just plays a sample, so I think they left out the part where you have to buy Amazon music to do this which is kind of understandable seeing as there are licensing issues to deal with but let's make that clear before people purchase it and not make it look like you can just listen to any old song anytime you want right out of the box.
