Colt Woodsman modification

I purchased these Baretta mags to use in a 1950s Colt Woodsman since original colt magazines are crazy expensive and scarce as hen's teeth. With minor gunsmithing, these fit and function perfectly in my 1957 Series 3 Woodsman. I'm here all week. Try the veal.

Great trigger once it is installed

For a "drop-in" trigger, it took a surprising amount of custom fitting. The hold open lever was 3-4/1000s too high and rubbed on the top of the action causing misfeeds. I used layout dye to find where it was binding, and removed the metal. Once that was done, it was smooth as butter. The trigger itself is light years better than the stock Ruger trigger. I have a real tack driver now.
